Huge congratulations go to Kathryn Bigelow, first female to win the Best Director Award! The Hurt Locker picked up six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay!
Avatar was awarded three Oscars in Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.
