Golden Globe nominations

This year's host - Ricky Gervais

Well, it's award season and first off the rank are the Golden Globes. Nominations have just been released for the ceremony held on Janary 17th. Make sure you tune in this year, Ricky Gervais will be hosting the night!
I'm a bit bummed that Lost has only one nomination. The fact that it goes to Michael Emerson is of no surprise to me what so ever. The first time he popped on screen all those years ago, I knew he's character was going to be a whole bunch of fun.
I do hope James Cameron is rewarded for his revolutionary film, Avatar (which opens tomorrow!!) but then again, Quenin Tarantino did a hell of a job with Inglourious Basterds, maybe they'll split Best Film and Best Director.
Best Screeenplay would be another split between Inglourious Basterds and District 9. I haven't seen too many movies twice this year, those are two of the three that I have (the other being Zombieland)(oh so good!).
Coraline would be my pick for Best Animated Feature, not just because I haven't seen the others yet, but it was truly remarkable.
Christoph Waltz had better pick up Best Supporting Actor for Inglourious Basterds. O-blige him!
Best Musical or Comedy - The Hangover, definitley.
Wait...I'm sorry, Sandra Bullock was nominated for something? Really?
If Dexter doesn't win Best TV Series - Drama, I will go on a murderous rampage taking out all the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press. Not really. But maybe...
The same goes for Michael C Hall getting Best Actor in TV Drama... although Jon Hamm is quite dashing as Don Draper...
Best TV Series Musical or Comedy, tough call between Entourage, my perenial favourite and newcomer Glee.
Toni Collette has already won a few awards for United States of Tara so one more won't hurt!
Best Actor in TV Musical or Comedy must go to Thomas Jane for Hung. Such a great show!
And finally, a three-way split for Best Supporting Actor in TV Series for Michael Emerson, John Lithgow and Jeremy Piven. Three totally different but equally brilliant roles. Let's hug it out bitch!
